GRAMMYs Announce 2019 Contemporary Christian, Gospel Nominees.
The nominees for the 61st annual GRAMMYs were announced this morning, representing what has been a powerful year in Contemporary Christian and Gospel music. The GRAMMYs will air on February 10, 2019 on CBS at 8pm EST.
Nominated in the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song category are Cory Asbury’s “Reckless Love,” Lauren Daigle’s “You Say,” for KING & COUNTRY’s “JOY,” MercyMe’s “Grace Got You,” and Tauren Wells’s “Known.”
Best Gospel Performance/Song nominees include “You Will Win” (Jekalyn Carr), “Won’t He Do It” (Koryn Hawthorne), “Never Alone” (Tori Kelly feat. Kirk Franklin), “Cycles” (Jonathan McReynolds feat. DOE), and “A Great Work” (Brian Courtney Wilson)
In the Roots Gospel Album category, Unexpected (Jason Crabb), Clear Skies (Ernie Haase & Signature Sound), Favorites: Revisited By Request (The Isaacs), Still Standing (The Martins), LOVE LOVE LOVE (Gordon Mote) are the nominess.
Among the first to respond to GRAMMY nomination news is Lauren Daigle, who shared a video on her Instagram story of her walking into a room filled with balloons, surrounded by her team, and saying “we’re going to the GRAMMYs!”
