[MUSIC] The Asaphs - Yanfu Yanfu

The Asaphs delivers a brand new song titled “Yanfu Yanfu”. “Yanfu Yanfu” is a Nigerian slang meaning plenty and in abundance. The song was composed and arranged by Daniel Etim and produced by Pamilerin Oladosu.

The Asaphs is a choral group of young talented musicians who can deliver a wide range of choral music with different styles and genre of music.

The Asaphs is known for her beautiful rendition of Hymns, Psalms, Spirituals, Folklore, Classical, Contemporary, Reggae and recently Gospel Pop and Afrobeat, she is perhaps the youngest professional choir in the country with a distinction in the Advanced choral singing from The Associated Board Royal Schools of Music, London.

The group started in December 2015 with only 20 members and today grown to well over 50 members between the ages of 16 to 24. The group has received blessings from our Father in the Lord and a Father of Music in this country Dr. D.K. Olukoya. She is still growing from strength to strength. The group is directed by Daniel Etim.

The piece was inspired by the need for the world to embrace our God and appreciate Him for many things He has done, been doing and what He will still do.
The Asaphs decided to bring this praise to another whole new level with a different flavor from what we are really not used to.

“We believe our God is encompassing and not limited by a style, culture or language, introducing a special Nigerian originated popular tune called Afrobeat. We hope to inspire every man; black or white, across the globe and nations of the world to join us and Praise God because even if nobody wants to, We will continue to praise Him.”
