Grammy award-winning artist and President/co-founder of the independent record label ‘Reach Records, Lecrae releases a new song titled “Set Me Free,” in advance of his forthcoming album, Restoration.
Lecrae’s latest effort “Deep End” is a mournful track regarding Lecrae’s pain over the death of George Floyd. The vulnerable track talks about his struggle with his faith and being a black man in America.
The chorus samples John Summit’s May 2020 track, “Deep End,” whose lyrics are slightly altered from Sleepy Hallow & Fousheé’s April 2020 track, “Deep End Freestyle.”
Following the YK Osiris-assisted “Set Me Free,” this track is the second single off of Lecrae’s 2020 long-awaited album Restoration. On June 3, 2020, Lecrae released a snippet of a track on his Instagram and Twitter pages.
