Christmas will soon be upon us. Putting together the perfect and newest Christmas songs is one of the most important tasks of the holiday season. Sure, you’ve got to shop for gifts, decorate the house, and maybe host a holiday get-together — but the only way to make those activities as festive as possible is by playing a fabulous Christmas soundtrack in the background.

Despite everything that has happened this year, artists have continued to put out great music that has gotten us through what has felt like the worst of times, and now they’re getting us through the holiday season.

To help you get started, we’ve found the top new Christmas songs from artists and music groups like Maverick City Music, Pentatonix, Tori Kelly, Matthew West, Naomi Raine, The McClures and more. Just sit back, relax (preferable with smattome Christmas candies), and let these tunes put you in the holiday spirit.

Maverick City music is a community of song-writing worshippers. They started with a dream to make space for folk that would otherwise live in their own separate worlds. The song “Silent Night” from the album “Maverick City Christmas” is available now on the TRIBL app and everywhere else you listen to music!

With an organic, pop-folk sound drawing from the couple’s North Carolina roots, Christmas Morning heralds the season with joyful, expectant moments of worship. Serving as worship leaders and songwriters with Bethel Music and at Bethel Church in Redding, California, Paul and Hannah McClure have been featured on every major release for the label since 2010 with songs like “Jesus, We Love You,” “One Thing,” “Faithful to the End” and “How Great a King.”

The festive, romantic clip was directed by Jo Roy (Meg Myers, Jesse McCartney). She teamed up with 11-time GRAMMY winner Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Scooter Braun as executive producers for A Tori Kelly Christmas.

This is a song coming from their latest album ‘We Need a Little Christmas’. This is the sixth-holiday album they can notch in their belt, and that means 12 new songs to add to the rotation and get you into the holiday spirit.

Armed with her melodious voice, guitar, and pen, Naomi Raine is on a mission to spread the love of God through song. Singing since the age of four, and songwriting since the age of seven, Naomi has always found it easiest to communicate the intricacies of life through lyrics and melodies. Naomi Raine strong desire to see the body of Christ united and operating in power fuels her relentless drive to make music that penetrates the heart, and inspires a thirst to worship God in Spirit and in truth. The song “Wonderful Gift” is a lovely melodious sing-along song that will definitely bless you.

After years of leading worship, writing songs for the church and even touring and playing keys with Nashville artists Nicole C. Mullen and Mandisa, Reddick is now ready to pour all of his experience and passion into his songs. Reddick is also currently on staff at a local church in Franklin, TN as a worship pastor.

The song “O Come Let Us Adore Him” (written by John Francis Wade). Verse one says; “O come all ye Faithful/ Joyful and Triumphant/ O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem/ Come and behold Him/ Born the King of Angels”. “I had the idea for ‘The Hope of Christma’s pretty early in 2020,” shares Matthew West on his new holiday track. “It’s felt like we could use a little Christmas right now! I find myself looking back at the Christmases of my youth, life seemed so much simpler then. There’s a line in the song that says, ‘these days peace on earth is hard to find, and I need you to remind me one more time.’”

Speaking about the song, Faith Child pens down; “The song encapsulates God loving us in spite of our weaknesses and shortcomings, and with Him being the creator of the world, He is in control of every situation and season we go through. A gentle reminder during this unprecedented time we are currently facing. I’m a fan of Hip Hop and a fan of worship, and I wanted to write a song that fuses both worlds.”

The song “O Come O Come Emmanuel” (written by John Mason Neale and Henry Sloane Coffin) from the album “Maverick City Christmas” is available now on the TRIBL app and everywhere else you listen to music!

South Carolina-native Tasha Layton launched her music career in Los Angeles, quickly becoming an in-demand session singer. She appeared on Season 9 of American Idol and spent four years as a backup vocalist for pop superstar Katy Perry. Layton’s voice has also been heard in productions for Disneyland and Cirque du Soleil, as well as Nickelodeon television, and she has served as an instructor at the National Praise and Worship Institute at Nashville’s Trevecca Nazarene University.

Winona Avenue’s latest pop-rock single “December Night” is about feeling lost and distant, until a life-changing experience occurs in which you find somebody that cares about you and what you are going through. You finally find a place in your life that you can call home.

The duo is known for their provocative oeuvre and singular, quick-witted approach to music by pushing boundaries and redefining the possibilities of their music. They team up with Matthew West for this lovely Christmas song

“Love So Holy” is featured on Jobe’s new The Blessing (Live Album), which dropped on October 23rd (Capitol CMG). The Blessing features songs co-written by Cody Carnes, Austin Davis, Jacob Sooter, Jonas Myrin, Elyssa Smith, Steffany Gretzinger, Chris Brown, Steven Furtick and Passion’s Kristian Stanfill and Brett Younker.

This single serves as a follow-up to French’s ‘Wake Up Sleeper EP’ that was released earlier this year. French celebrated the new release with a Facebook Live release party, which you can re-watch here. 

“‘Light Of The World’ is something we’ve been really looking forward to sharing with you,” the group shared on social media. “There’s a lot of darkness in the world. I know we’ve had darkness in our own lives and we’re so thankful that God in His mercy has brought His Light to the world to shine into those places. His light melts the shame of our darkness and that’s what this song is all about. Can’t wait for you to hear it!”

The song “Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee” is coming from Maverick City Music’s latest album “Maverick City Christmas,” available now on the TRIBL app and everywhere else you listen to music!

 

The lyric video credits include Andra Vaughn (Windy Valley Creative). The track was written by Ross King and Joel Vaughn and produced by Vaughn.

“I didn’t write this song but when I heard it, I fell in love with it & am honoured to sing it,” explains Waldrup. “It’s the story of Christmas and is like watching a movie when you listen to it. It’s a classic Christmas song, one with feel-good vibes to uplift everyone this holiday & for many years to come!” Even though Waldrup is a country singer, the inspirational and religious tone of this song should come as no surprise to Waldrup Worldwide as she is very outspoken about her faith.
