“The Mud-Hole” is a spoken word piece contrasting the Sheep from the Pig. Each of which is symbolic in nature.
But besides the physical comparison, there is a deeper contrast. The sheep represents a believer who tries his best to come out of sin any time he falls into it. While on the other hand, the pig represents a typical life of a sinner who intentionally falls into sin and takes pleasure in remaining in his sins.
The power-packed piece ends with a rhetorical question, where the Listener asks himself where he stands.
