“Growing Pains”, is Stellar Award nominated artist ChoirBoi Cam’s; most personal album project to date is the highly anticipated conclusion to the “Against the Wall” EP. “Against the Wall” was introspective. This project places ChoirBoi Cam out in front of the struggle found in transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. He acknowledges the issues knows the pitfalls are there, but with his faith he has a good handle on them. The lead single “Growing Pains” leaps through the speakers with an up tempo sound a fresh and joyous anointing. It clearly establishes ChoirBoi Cam as young, urban, musically endowed and gifted songwriter and vocalist.
ChoirBoi Cam is currently a sophomore at Anderson University in Anderson, SC, where he is on the track team and majoring in Business Management and minoring in Healthcare Administration. He is also active in Student Government and Choir. He will be releasing a line of athleisure ware and other merchandise under his Blessred Swagger Clothing Label. Blazing the indie gospel scene since 2014 ChoirBoi Cam is multi award winning artist from Pelzer, SC. In 2016 his album, “The Destiny Project” was nominated for the Stellar Award Youth Project of the Year. After his Stellar Award Run, ChoirBoi Cam was offered the position of official youth correspondent for Divine Voice Magazine where he covers the Annual BMI Gospel Awards. He has interviewed gospel superstars MaryMary, BeBe and CeCe Winans, and Yolanda Adams.
“Growing Pains” is two- part project executive produced by ChoirBoi Cam and “Against the Wall” EP is executive produced by Grammy, Dove, and Stellar Award-winning producer Billy Dorsey and his team The Bridge Life. The songs from “Against the Wall” are also featured on “Growing Pains.” The “Against the Wall” EP garnered a 2019 nomination for the Steeple Awards Indie Artist of the Year category. Dorsey produced award winning music on Lecrae’s Gravity Album and has worked with notable artists Andy Mineo, 2 Chainz, Day 26, 10th Avenue North, Tedashii and August Alsina. Dorsey is also a minister and an outreach praise & worship leader at Lakewood Church in Houston. Other producers featured on the project are Benny Madison, Casey Irvin, and Curtis Forbes.
