After much anticipation, We (Praisejamzblog) are excited to finally release our power-packed Mixtape titled “Reach Out”.

For as long as the world has existed, music has had a powerful influence on world culture. There is an obvious connection between the type of music that both young and adult people are listening to and the direction our culture is heading. One of the most essential mandates as a believer is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We see it again and again in everyday life – young people are led astray by these new ideas from the music that they listen to. Disrespect for women, drugs, hooking up, and a lack of motivation for anything but partying and pleasure are the fake lifestyles that are promoted in most music of today. Young people try to live that way because they believe that they’ll be happy and popular, just like the artists pretend to be in their music videos and performances.

With all of these negative influences, is it possible to influence mainstream culture for Christ? As everyday Christians. We are called to go out of our way to reach people with this kingdom tune. We are instructed to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ via the sound of music so that whoever believes in him will be forgiven their sins and receive eternal life. (John 3:16 & Roman 10:9).
