The words of Matthew 28:5-6 NLT are ringing in our souls: “Then the angel spoke to the women. ‘Don’t be afraid!’ he said. ‘I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.’”
Our heart overflows with praise and gratitude that Jesus Christ is alive and that He did just as He said He would do: He got up from the grave with all power in His hands. This is the greatest news we could ever receive, isn’t it? And because we know Christ is risen, we can rejoice that the same resurrecting power is working in us today.
On this day, make sure you join us and other believers around the world in celebrating the fact that Christ the King reigns supreme. Furthermore, bask in knowing that, no matter what you may be going through, Christ died and rose to bring liberty to the captive. That means we have been freed from bondage in every form.
Therefore, whatever has come to hold you back must release you — for the chains of enslavement are broken. We are no longer bound. We are free! The Resurrected King, the Exalted One, has won the victory already.
