Golanda Blackwell is an anointed singer, minister, radical worship leader, and new gospel recording artist/songwriter. Golanda is known for her versatile, yet powerful voice. She released her first single entitled My Everything on April 16, 2022. This music project is near and dear to her heart for numerous reasons. Gospel music has always been her favorite music genre. Her love for music and singing began in her hometown of Washington, Georgia. Her father, Pastor G. L. Walton, Jr., was her first musical influence. With help from her father, she sang her first song publicly at the age of 4.

In 2003, Golanda married her high school sweetheart, Shawn Blackwell. Together they have one daughter, Ebony, and one granddaughter, Londyn. Her family joined Friendship Baptist Church of Appling, GA where she served in the music department. She accepted her call to ministry in November 2011 under the leadership of Dr. Philip Dunston, Jr. Since then, Golanda has traveled and served many churches as a praise and worship minister in Northeast and Southeast Georgia.

When asked about the soul-stirring lyrics to her new single, “My Everything”, Golanda replied, “Most days I wake up with a song in my heart that is familiar. One day in 2018, God gave me lyrics to a “new” song that really ministered to me. At first, it wasn’t clear to me exactly what God wanted from me concerning this song until I realized this–the lyrics stayed with me without having to physically write them down! I finished writing “My Everything” 2 years later. One morning, I began to cry out to God about everything happening around me. I felt like I was drowning in my own personal storm. The final lyrics of the song came to me and I began to cry and sing louder until I felt an overwhelming presence of the peace of God. The more I sang this song, the more my burden lifted. This is my prayer for every listener. I pray that overwhelming encouragement fills your heart. I pray that you remember who is your everything.”
